Welcome to limerick

A warm Irish welcome to Limerick, the land of “Céad Míle Fáilte” or “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes.” The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships (WUCC) is taking place at the University of Limerick (UL), Ireland. WUCC will be held from Saturday 15th August to Saturday 22nd August inclusive over eight (8) days, the world’s best club teams from all over the world will compete for the world titles in Limerick.

Joining the some 8 million yearly overseas visitors to Ireland, it is estimated that teams from over 30 nations comprising approximately 3,000+ athletes will take part in the WFDF 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships and will be staying in and around the city of Limerick for the week of the tournament. There will be a number of social events taking place throughout the week to enable teams and players to immerse themselves in the Irish culture and to experience the Limerick charm, while making life long friends in the Ultimate Community. 

LOCATION & VENUE

The WFDF 2026 World Ultimate Club Championships is taking place across the North and South campus field sites of the University of Limerick (UL), along with the TUS Moylish Campus. 

A mixture of high quality grass and 3G pitches will provide athletes with fantastic fields of play. The two UL sites are located at either end of the University campus approximately 20 minutes walk from each other. It is a tightly packed campus designed for students to be able to walk anywhere.

TEAM ACCOMMODATION

The University of Limerick is situated on a superb riverside campus of over 130 hectares, with the River Shannon as a unifying focal point. The attractive on-campus accommodation is in the style of residential villages of individual apartments or houses.

The UL Campus and surrounding area can accommodate up to 1,700 tournament attendees in high quality houses and apartments with both ensuite and non-ensuite rooms available. These modern complexes offer spacious accommodation with shared living/kitchen areas, enabling teams to have the option to cater for themselves. All residential villages are located on the beautiful parkland of the University campus.
